Job Summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Data Scientist, SME in the Quantico, VA area.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Conduct Data Science activities, apply advanced statistical analysis techniques, develop and test models to enable machine learning to enable the command to extract new and innovative insights from complex, non-traditional, and/or large datasets.
• Leverage big data management techniques and tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, MAPReduce).
• Implement extract-transform-load (ETL).
• Model database structures, tables, and fields.
• Define required data types; data mine; prepare data sets; manage metadata; set standards for data transformation/processing; and develop machine-learning models.
• Work with application program interfaces (API) to capture data.
• Provide knowledge in scripting and developing web-scrapers.
• Conduct Data Science activities proficiently with Python and Java, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Exadata, SQL, SAP, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Collaborate with intelligence analysts to identify innovative ways to apply data science to publicly available information to meet intelligence requirements.

Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
• At least 15+ years of relevant experience.

• Normal office environment.
