THE JOB:
The Food Dispatcher is responsible for safely and promptly receiving and delivering all food products and food process equipment to the designated kitchen and event staging areas.
STARTING RATE: $20.472 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Receive and deliver food items or kitchen equipment safely and promptly throughout MGM Grand, including the Aviation department and stores.
Keep and organize event orders, handle related food and beverage requests, and follow correct inventory control and receiving procedures.
Read and understand interdepartmental transfer requisitions.
Communicate properly and follow the direction of the Convention Services Team, Room Chefs, and Executive Chef.
Utilize knowledge of kitchen equipment, manual and electric pallet jacks/riders, motorized carts, and delivery box trucks.
Operate a computer and use programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Amadeus, and AS400.
Perform complex mathematical functions, including percentages and unit conversions.
Preform other job-related duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
One (1) year of high-volume food and beverage venue experience.

- Proficient in BEO execution, interpersonal skills, and time management.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Skilled in computer operations and complex math.
- Physically capable for diverse property tasks.
