What the Job Involves

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Ensure proper approval and documentation for all invoices.
• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries.
• Assist in the resolution of vendor issues and disputes.
• Process weekly or monthly check runs and electronic payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Reconcile payment records with vendor statements.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and maintain vendor account balances.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and complete AP aging reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Generate reports as needed for management, providing insights into accounts payable status.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in accounts payable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Target Salary Range: 

• $60,000 - $90,000
• Company granted equity
