Indiana University Health is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic communications intern to join our team and further our vision of making Indiana one of the nation’s healthiest states.

 

The Indy Suburban Region Communications intern will support multiple internal and external communication channels, primarily focused on social media, public relations and internal communications. The intern can expect to gain experience in social media content creation, social media analytics, interviews, pitching, media coaching, newsletters, video production and more. This internship supports IU Health’s Indianapolis Suburban Region, which includes IU Health North, Saxony, Tipton and West hospitals. 

 

The ideal candidate would have strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to write to AP style. Applicants should be self-starters, highly organized, resourceful and an effective communicator, with keen attention to detail and strong project management abilities. 

 

The Indy Suburban Communications internship is for the 2024 fall semester with potential to extend. The intern will work both remotely and on-site. On-site work may be required at any of our Indy Suburban Region hospitals, which includes IU Health North in Carmel, IU Health Saxony in Fishers, IU Health Tipton in Tipton, and IU Health West in Avon.

 

The internship begins in August and runs through December, with the opportunity to extend.
