Job Description

  • Establishes strong working rapport with WD’s Trade Compliance team, aligning on regulatory changes and its impact on systems and trade operations processes
  • Supporting the Trade Compliance team in completing the business requirements
  • Work with IT and other PMO team members for designing and developing the controls in GTM
  • Develops a strong understanding of WD’s Trade Operations IT Assets (Global Trade Management & Customs Management System’s)
  • Owns the funnel for Trade Compliance’s change requests, enhancement requests and projects, this includes completing the necessary templates and seeing through the design, development, UAT and go live.
  • Trains operations team on system changes/enhancements & remains an escalation point person for the team
  • Partner with business units/functions and IT teams to design and deliver systemic compliance solutions to support import/export regulatory requirements
  • Leads broad range of complex projects, where Global Trade owned assets are the primary systems impacted
  • As necessary engages with Application partner (oracle) in platform enhancement by actively participating in Oracle Idea Lab
  • Stays always updated on changes in regulations
  • Contribute to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead/develop recommendations and provides insight for management.
  • Define and review system performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address
  • Management reporting on project status and issues
  • Mentor junior-level staff
  • Collaborate across regions and business units
  • Ability to influence a particular business across functions and/or regions.
  • Drive negotiations and influences business and IT as required

Qualifications

Comprehensive understanding of Oracle GTM and OTM platforms including:

  • Master Data configurations
  • Trade Transaction Management configuration 
  • Trade Compliance screening configuration
  • Global Trade Party Management
  • License Configuration
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 4 years related experience
  • >10 Years Import/Export trade compliance experience
  • Has broad knowledge of various project management software
  • PMP certified is a definite plus
