About the role

We’re looking for a versatile, customer-focused professional to join our team as an Inside Sales Specialist. This role combines the relationship-building and sales responsibilities of Inside Sales with the proactive support and process improvement focus of Customer Success. You’ll be the go-to person for customers—answering questions, resolving issues, and helping them succeed—while also driving sales growth and collaborating with internal teams to deliver innovative energy solutions. A technical background or familiarity with electrical systems is strongly preferred, as you’ll often work closely with engineering and provide basic technical guidance to customers.

This role provides a unique opportunity to develop skills and expertise that can serve as a steppingstone to future careers in engineering, sales, or other technical fields.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through proactive communication and support.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams (Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Quality).
  2. Sales Growth & Support
    • Collaborate with Outside Sales and Account Managers to drive revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and new business development.
    • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical presentations for customers.
  3. Order & Project Management
    • Manage sales orders and purchase orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Support new program development and ongoing management of existing projects.
  4. Technical Support
    • Provide basic technical assistance and troubleshooting for products such as batteries, chargers, and inverters.
    • Communicate technical requirements clearly between customers and engineering teams.
  5. Customer Success & Process Improvement
    • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate on workflow enhancements.
  6. Market & Industry Insight
    • Research industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
    • Stay current with standards and innovations in energy storage and power systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in inside sales, account management, or customer success roles.
  • Familiarity with DC systems, electricity, batteries, chargers, and inverters preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with ISO procedures and quality systems.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other CRM tools.
  • Experience with Freshdesk or similar customer support platforms
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate with engineers.
  • Motivated to learn and grow in a technical environment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • A collaborative, innovative work environment.
