The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Senior Data Science Training Lead to serve as the primary member responsible for developing, implementing and leading data science training programs tailored to the needs of USSTRATCOM. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data literacy, analytical skills and the effective use of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

Data Science Training Lead, Senior:

• Designs and delivers comprehensive training programs that educate individuals on various data science concepts, including data manipulation, analysis techniques, machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and programming languages such as Python and R

• Creates engaging curriculum, conducts workshops, and provides personalized coaching to ensure personnel gain a thorough understanding of complex data science principles

• Designs and structures data science training programs, covering topics such as data cleaning, statistical analysis, model building, and deployment, tailoring content to different learning levels and industry needs

• Conducts interactive workshops, lectures, and hands-on exercises using data science tools and platforms, ensuring participants gain practical experience

• Monitors student progress through quizzes, projects, and evaluations to identify areas needing further support and adjusts teaching methods accordingly

• Provides one-on-one guidance to trainees, addressing individual challenges and fostering their learning journey

• Maintains proficiency in data science programming languages (Python, R), statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques to effectively teach these concepts

• Clearly explains complex data science concepts to diverse audiences, adapting language and presentation style to different learner levels

• Keeps abreast of emerging trends in data science, incorporating new technologies and methodologies into training programs

• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments

• May supervise others

Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others

Qualifications:

Required:

• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field

• Extensive experience in data science, analytics, and training facilitation

• Strong understanding of data science tools and programming languages

• Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 421 - Advanced; CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training

AND

• Additional Cert: One or more Oracle certifications, to include:

  • Oracle database

  • Oracle Cloud HCM

  • Oracle E-Business Suite

  • Oracle WebLogic Server

  • Oracle SOA Suite

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
