Job Summary:
As an Operations Quality Engineer I you will be working hands on with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment with plenty of challenging opportunities supporting production. You will be working directly with our manufacturing processes, products, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparing for audits. Your knowledge and experience will be valued and contribute to furthering the success of Raytheon to deliver quality product to our customers.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process.
- Supporting production, first article inspections, and preparation for audits.
- Creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions.
- Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies.
- Regular interface with DCMA.
- Daily status meetings with internal stakeholders to manage issue, and weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality.
- Supporting strategic efforts that meet the quality department goals.
- Support failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering.
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Existing DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse, Root Cause and Corrective Action Process
- Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
- Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process.
- Critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills
Location:
- Onsite in Tucson, AZ
- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Clearance Information:
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
