Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Inspector Tester C - 3rd Shift (Quality) to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!
The hourly rate for this position is $24.45 + $2.50 shift differential.
The core hours are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $2,000*, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding.

What you’ll do:
The Inspector/Tester performs assembly inspection of transformers/regulators at various locations in the assembly plants per established procedures. You will perform electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures and monitor conformance to quality standards.
In this function, you will:
- Perform routine factory dielectric tests per established procedures, including OX (induced), QC impulse, and hipot (applied potential).
- Perform routine factory loss tests per established procedures, including load loss (winding loss) & no-load loss (core loss).
- Perform power factor, ratio, and resistance tests per established procedures.
- Perform operational tests on regulators as required.
- Perform continuity test on unit per established procedures.
- Follow routine tests inspect unit nameplate, stamp impedance value on nameplate, and secure nameplate to tested unit.
- Perform visual inspection on interior of unit upon completion of testing.
- Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
- Perform special routine tests when required.
- Perform all responsibilities of the Inspector, including, but not limited to:
- Perform visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process per established procedures.
- Perform the following tests as required per established procedures: ratio, resistance, leak, continuity, control box, insulation resistance, regulator sub-assembly, regulator modification, regulator run-in.
- Apply decals and stencils to exterior of unit and perform paint mileage check as required.
- Assist Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.
- Complete various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.
- Collect various types of data per established procedures as required
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
