Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant 3, School of Nursing [R0149082].
ROLE of the POSITION
This is a search for an Administrative Assistant 3 that supports the Director of Clinical Operations within the School of Nursing. Duties include but not limited to:
Coordinate and maintain clinical placement processes for undergraduate and graduate nursing students across diverse clinical partners and disciplines (BSN, DEMSN, FNP, Midwifery, CRNA).
Receive, review, and track student clinical documents in compliance platforms; verify compliance with clinical site requirements; communicate deficiencies and follow-up needs.
Make initial determinations on student eligibility for clinical placements based on compliance and program requirements; explain placement rationale and appeal options as needed.
Provide program-specific guidance on onboarding procedures, training modules, immunization requirements, and documentation policies.
Monitor student and site compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and university policies.
Assist with affiliation agreement tracking and maintenance; work with legal/contracts team to ensure agreements are signed and current.
Manage internal and external communications for the Clinical Operations team; serve as liaison between Clinical Operations and faculty, students, clinical partners, and university leadership.
Schedule and coordinate meetings for internal operations and external clinical partners; prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
Maintain and update databases for clinical sites, preceptors, placement records, and contracts. Draft and distribute student announcements, faculty instructions, clinical site updates, and newsletters in coordination with Clinical Operations leadership.
