Job Summary

As a Dining Ambassador, you will serve as the face of our dining program, assisting incoming students and their families in navigating the various meal plan options available, while explaining the benefits and features of Florida Fresh Dining. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, have strong communication skills, and are passionate about promoting the UF campus dining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote Meal Plans: Engage with prospective students and their families to explain the various meal plan options and their benefits, guiding them through the process of selecting a plan that best suits their needs.
• Explain the Dining Program: Provide information about Florida Fresh Dining’s diverse dining options and our commitment to nutrition and wellness.
• Assist with Orientation: Help manage meal plan sales and answer questions about the dining experience at UF during orientation sessions.
• Customer Support: Answer general questions about Florida Fresh Dining, including dietary restrictions, dining locations, and program specifics, ensuring that all customers feel confident in their meal plan choices. Students will be responsible for answering our text line as well.
• Collaborate with Dining Team: Work alongside other ambassadors and the Florida Fresh Dining staff to ensure a seamless and informative orientation experience.

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and assist individuals in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
