SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are seeking a motivated Tools and Parts Attendant to join our Maintenance Division in Hawaii. This position is responsible for maintaining accountability of tools, test equipment, and parts, ensuring efficient operation within an active maintenance and industrial environment.


You will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and managing tools and supplies, conducting inventories, and maintaining documentation. The role also involves operating vehicles to transport materials and performing routine vehicle maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, and test equipment.
  • Ensure all tools and test equipment are calibrated at prescribed intervals and maintained according to established procedures.
  • Initiate actions to repair or dispose of damaged or inoperable tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Conduct periodic inventories of stock and assist in preparing shortage lists and reports of lost property.
  • Maintain property book items and provide information to the supervisor regarding accountability and inventory.

Vehicle Operations & Maintenance Responsibilities:

  • Operate a pickup truck or other government motor vehicles (up to 10,000 lbs.) to transport supplies and equipment.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks including refueling, checking fluid levels, and keeping the vehicle clean.
  • Maintain a vehicle logbook and report accidents according to established procedures.

Clerical & Administrative Support Responsibilities:

  • Type various forms and requisitions; maintain records for maintenance requests.
  • Prepare periodic reports on tools, inventory, and equipment.
  • Order office supplies, safety shoes, and other required personal protective gear.

Housekeeping & General Support Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Support contract requirements related to safety, security, and environmental tasks.
  • May be cross-utilized in other job areas as needed.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a building that is moderately heated, lighted and ventilated.
  • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors and may be subject to inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, bend and work in cramped positions and be able to routinely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
  • This position will be based in Hawaii, and candidates must either reside in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
  • Occasional cross-training and flexibility may be required to assist in other job areas.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in tool management, inventory control, or a similar field is preferred, but not required.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis.
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills, with attention to detail in maintaining records and inventories.
