Reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning, you will be part of the high powered and dynamic Strategic Planning team. The team has three primary responsibilities - leading and driving strategic initiatives, championing a multitude of special projects covering a wide gamut of business units and supporting the Lodging Ground and Sea (LGS) leader and team.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps define & oversee the Travel Solutions strategy and vision for the Lodging Ground and Sea team. Close coordination with the TS leadership teams: Sales, Finance, Product, Marketing, Legal, etc.

  • Co-leads the annual planning/budget process.

  • Evaluates, oversees, and manages numerous highly complex strategic projects and initiatives ensuring they stay within the agreed upon timelines, at a regional level and globally.

  • Improves processes and implements best practices across functions and regions.

  • Provides general management support in managing weekly staff meetings, crafting and supporting the LGS leadership meetings, All Hands as well as sales regional meetings.

  • Help design and execute analytics for studying business issues (market research, scenario planning, forecasting, market share, profitability, etc).

  • Support development of formal recommendations to senior leadership in the form of presentations, business cases, investment proposals, reports, term sheets, etc.

  • Work with different teams to identify key business issues, articulate problem, apply right analytical framework, develop solution and recommendations and represent findings to stakeholders.

  • Involvement in all aspects of corporate development, from M&A and due diligence to financial modelling, valuations, and deal structuring.

  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Education: Business Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Ability to work in a highly independent and results-oriented environment.

  • Strong analytical, strategic and financial acumen.

  • Proven expertise in data analysis & financial modeling.

  • Expert user of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate potential issues and suggest creative alternatives to overcome barriers.

  • Ability to connect the dots and see the big picture and make recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, and internal business process improvement.

  • Ability to build consensus and alignment and communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. The role requires close partnership and communication with senior leadership across Sabre. A strong team orientation is critical to the success in this role.

  • Multi-tasking ability to facilitate quick turnarounds.

  • Good creativity and problem-solving skills.

  • Ideally hotel knowledge/experience (but not mandatory)
