The Physical Security Support Engineer will assist field and internal technical resources in analyzing, installing, troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining security infrastructure and application components relating to Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion Alarm technologies. To aid in successful project completion, this position will be responsible for providing direction, information, and technical support to field technicians and/or internal stakeholders working on various security related projects and/or technologies.
**Ideal candidate would reside in Central, Mountain or Pacific Time Zone.
PRIMARY DUTIES include but not limited to:
- Act as overall Electronic Security subject matter expert for National and International multi-site deployments, relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and card access technologies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all various manufacturer product lines and disseminate training related information when available.
- Provide remote support and act as the main technical point of contact for assigned field technicians working on various technologies including video surveillance, intrusion alarms, and card access systems.
- Manage assigned workload and deliver services in accordance with established objectives set forth by Project Team.
- Work with central station monitoring provider to set up new accounts and monitor day to day alarms and troubles pertaining to intrusion alarms.
- Provide regular technical check-ins to various cloud-based systems relating to video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and card access technologies to confirm system functionality.
- Consult with assigned customers, vendors, sales, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues for assigned customer’s projects.
- Provide daily updates on status of scheduled deployments.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to clearly communicate and provide reasoning to a wide array of technically skilled people via email and telephone.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks related to assigned technology projects.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborate with team members daily on troubleshooting and resolution regarding various technologies.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Experience or ability to read schematics or drawings
- Must be able to quickly learn various manufacturer’s software thru online training platforms or facilitated training sessions
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associates degree in Electronics, Computer Technology or related field, or 3+ years of technical field experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience working in the security industry.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Certification and experience with various security manufacturing partners and other relevant technology certifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
