Who We Are
The Denver International Airport (DEN) Technical Operations division is actively seeking to fill an emerging talent position as a Technical Intern to contribute to their division. As part of DEN's Strategic Plan, Vision 100, which envisions reaching 100 million annual passengers, Technical Operations plays a pivotal role in transforming the aviation industry. Technical Operations provides leadership over multiple operating programs to include all Passenger and Baggage Conveyance systems. These systems include the management of multiple operations and maintenance contractors responsible for the airport’s automated people mover (APM), DEN’s network of over 350 traditional conveyances (i.e., elevators, escalators, power walks), as well as ICS and additional conveyor baggage systems. All systems operate 24/7/365.

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive pay rate to commensurate with education. The salary range for this position is $20.92-$23.64/hour, based on education. Denver International Airport emerging talent positions are required to attend all sessions of professional development within the cohort model. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the aviation industry.
As an emerging talent college intern, you will get to experience working on projects such as:
- Assist the Technical Operations team with data, documents, file management, and information to review for contract compliance, related projects, and deliverables.
- Attend various operations, maintenance, and project meetings to assist the team with continuity of operations, customer services, and project progression.
- Receive hands-on, and back-of-house experience and exposure to some of the many technical operations at DEN.
- Get trained to assist in coordination and scheduling processes within the conveyance programs.
- Have the opportunity to assist in molding the strategic direction of the division by evaluating opportunities for innovation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education Requirement: Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor’s, or higher degree in, or a recent graduate (completed specified program within 1 year of completion).
- Experience: None
- Education and Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted.
