2nd Shift Machine Operator

Description

This position requires a self-motivated, “go getter” to assist with the operation of The Village Companies Large Format Print Center. The Machine Operator will be responsible for producing quality graphics that meet the desired specification for all internal and potentially external customers. This includes concept, prototype, and production level work. All aspects of equipment operation and routine maintenance will be expected with this position. The equipment includes but is not limited to; UV flatbed printer, eco-solvent roll printer, large-format digital cutter, heat assisted laminator, and more.

Hours: 2nd shift, flexible on hours. 

Wage: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour AND $2 Shift Premium.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily/regular maintenance of equipment.
• Producing consistent accurate imagery and color.
• Assist in managing inventory or raw materials and finished goods.
• Initiate continuous improvement and development efforts relating to digital printer operation and capabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Materials and Equipment Utilized:

• Large-format Digital Printers
• Computers, Printers, etc.

Working Environment:

• Both Office and Manufacturing (Climate controlled and clean)

Requirements

Education and Training:

• 3+ years of operating a large-format digital printers(s) and a variety of finishing equipment preferred, willing to train.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• A recognition of media(s) pertaining to innovative trends in large-format digital printing.
• Skillful knowledge of graphic installation techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer knowledge to track work progress and operate machines accurately.

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel

Physical Requirements:

• Some physical exertion required
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach
• Works in an office and manufacturing environment
• Able to lift 50lbs Occasionally
