Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist provides direction and support to plant-based employees and supervisors/managers by providing timely and accurate information in the areas of HR policy and procedures.
The role will provide HR support and training for annual HR activities including, annual salary reviews, employee engagement surveys and talent & development activities. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring employees are able to access HR services as required.
The role has a primary aim of supporting all employee related activity for Supply Chain operations within the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as HR Business Partner to Plant Managers of our CHEP-owned Service and Plant Leadership team.
- Provide support and guidance to Managers on HR policies and programs and ensure that they are effectively communicated to all employees.
- Coach and develop line managers to utilize HR self-service model, including creating cases in Workday and utilizing information on the central employee hub.
- Coach line manager and provide support on employee related queries.
- Work closely with Plant Leadership team to ensure we have robust employee engagement plan in place that drives initiatives and enables employees.
- Support the development and implementation of Global HR initiatives in the Plants, including, new digitization, EVP, recruitment & attraction, and employee feedback tools.
- Design and implement activities that drives our gender diversity goals for or Global “Women in Plants” program.
- Work closely with other Country and European HR Generalists/Managers to lead continuous improvement programs across the United Kingdom Plant Operations network and the European Supply Chain organisation.
- Work closely with regional HR Operations teams to lead process improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to regional talent acquisition team to ensure vacancies are filled in a timely manner with hi potential talent.
- Support and improve the delivery of new starter on-boarding, training, and compliance initiatives.
- Provides support and training of annual HR processes including Optimizing Performance, Annual Salary Reviews, Talent & Succession Planning and Employee Engagement Surveys
- Partner with Centers of Expertise (COE) to support Reward and Talent & Learning initiatives with managers and employees.
Experience:
- Related experience in Human Resources preferably in an Operational environment.
- Proven experience in explanation of HR policies and procedures
- Experience with end user customer support and training
- Experience of HR systems, Workday preferable
