The Summer 2024 Riverside Research Software Solutions Internship Program is designed to enrich a student’s educational experience with real-world vocational experience. This career building program enables students to engage in the various stages of creating and operating software solutions, from developing algorithms to deploying applications into production. Participants will learn how to transform a concept into a living product. 

Required Qualifications:

• Full-time student at an accredited college or university studying with a major in computer science or related field
• Understanding and practical application of computer science to complex problems
• Understanding of low-level programming principles and fundamentals of computer architecture
• Course work in, Algorithms & Programming I, or equivalent experience in high-level programming (ex: AP Computer Science, AP Computer Science Principles, Coursera, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Self-starter with strong communication skills
• US. citizens only

Desired Qualifications:

• Apply mathematical techniques to solve complex problems and develop quantitative based assessments to include statistical data analysis, knowledge discovery, and mathematical modeling
• Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources (experience with a variety of data formats, unique data sources, complex data, raw data)
