DuPont has an immediate opening for an experienced Environmental Safety Technologist at our Joliet, IL site.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION ​

The purpose of the Environmental Safety (ES) Technologist position is to manage the implementation and maintenance of the ES management system (work processes, standards, procedures, reporting) in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate and compliance for the Joliet site.  

The incumbent filling this job should have experience in EH&S and environmental reporting.  A State of Illinois Class K Wastewater Treatment License is required, must be willing and able to attain this licensure for this role, if not already in possession.

This position is a day shift but there may be times when overtime or weekend work may be required. 

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​

• EPA/DuPont environmental compliance including inspections, data collection and environmental reporting

• RCRA waste management

• Non RCRA waste and recycling management

• Keep plant/site updated and compliant with DuPont standards

JOB QUALIFICATIONS​

Your qualifications profile:

Required:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Class K licensed (State of Illinois) wastewater operator

• Licensed potable water supply operator
