Telephone Dispatcher - Facilities - Days

 

The Dispatcher receives and processes all engineering maintenance job orders and dispatches emergency requests for repair and/or service to the appropriate areas. Receives telephone requests for emergency or immediate response, for repairs and/or service, for all locations within NYPH. Dispatches requests to appropriate department section and/or service. Responds to all callers in a tactful, courteous manner. Logs all telephone calls and inputs into Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create a job order. Receives and distributes written maintenance job orders to appropriate Supervisor. Attaches computer form to written Engineering requisition and distributes to appropriate Supervisor. Closes out job order upon receiving completed form from Supervisor. Maintains cost records ensuring that the proper charge for time and materials have been charged to the appropriate shop.

Receive and dispatch requests for immediate repairs and/or services needed at our medical center, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and outside maintenance service vendors. Answer questions regarding mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other issues. Operate a pneumatic tube system. Maintain call logs. Close out work orders, and perform associated data entry functions.

 

This is a daytime position Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. 

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of data entry experience / computer literacy
• 2 years of customer service experience

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$28.60-$34.15/Hourly
