Job Summary:
Coordinate a risk free environment on shift, through the monitoring of the security systems at the residence. Perform a variety of security tasks including access control, security patrols and emergency preparedness. Provide protective services to key executives of the organization and their families. This position will be responsible for highly confidential and proprietary information that requires the maximum level of discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitors all security systems, including but not limited to cameras, alarms and fire and respond accordingly.
Reports/responds to unusual or emergency situations, using the appropriate degree of physical force and weaponry as situation dictates.
Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on all security systems according to Manufacturer’s or corporate recommendations.
Coordinate vendor/contractor work and monitor while on premises.
Maintain all exterior property systems such as driveway thawing system, lighting, etc.
Greet guests and delivery people and direct appropriately.
Continuously review the Executive Protection Manual and the Residence Security Detail Directives and post orders. Recommend improvements and assist in the development and implementation of new security processes.
Maintain proficiency/certification with all assigned weapons as required.
Assist with planning and execution of executive security details.
Ensure appropriate handling of proprietary information or materials.
Responds to requests from ownership and respond to any potential volatile situations.
Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor and order appropriate supplies.
Perform other duties as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications will include prior law enforcement experience and/or major security experience including Executive protection, investigations, and special weapons/tactics. Defensive driving and tactics’ background check requirements, annual qualification with firearms, and computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes or equivalent email system, and experience with CCTV systems and Intrusion systems.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
Minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in the armed forces security, military, police or with a law enforcement, public or private sector security organization. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Incumbents in this position must successfully complete CPR, First Aid and AED training. The position requires long, non-traditional hours/weekends and holidays. Additional requirement may be required depending on location.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
CPR, FA Certificates, firearm license, Firearm training certification.
