We are looking for a 3D Scan/Survey Technician to complement our Building Systems team. As a part of our full-service project offering, a 3D Scan/Survey Technician is a vital part of the project team. The 3D Scan/Survey Technician will work directly with our in house team of architects & engineers, technicians and administrative staff.  We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and well-spoken candidate who is excited to travel the U.S. as the field representative for ms consultants and our clients.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain 3D laser scanning technology, equipment, including laptop, digital camera and measuring tools.
• Utilize latest 3D technology and equipment to scan, measure, and document all aspects of commercial buildings.
• Post Processing (Registration) of acquired 3D scan data
• Conduct independent building surveys, including the assessment of existing conditions and have the ability to climb on rooftops
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods of time
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with site contacts and clients
• Communicate with multiple design teams to ensure project alignment.
• This position requires extensive travel nationwide to client job sites

• Technical Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel
• Experience working in technical project teams
• Exposure to 3D technology and/or scanning software ReCap

 Minimum Requirements: 

• Valid driver’s license
• Prior experience with scanning or building surveys
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively coordinate with team members
• Willingness to travel extensively nationwide to client job sites (approximately 50% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline
• Proficient in 3D scanning software (FARO, LEICA, or Autodesk)
• Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries
