Medical Scribe/Transcriptionist – Be the Physicians Right Hand - Full or Part time

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Accompanies physician into patient rooms to accurately record medical examination and other information necessary to complete medical record.  
• Prepares chart prior to visits as directed by physicians' expectation of speed and accuracy.
• Reviews chart for accuracy. Utilizes reference materials to ensure accuracy and completeness of reports. Navigates Word, Windows and the electronic medical records effectively.
• Ensures patient privacy at all times.

Requirements of this position include:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Medical Terminology preferred
• One year of transcription experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, orally and in writing, in person and telephonically with co-workers, physicians, patients, and patient’s families; must interact well with co-workers
• BLS or Heartsaver Certification required
• Certified transcriptionist preferred
