CRM Software is developed with state of the art, industry standard technologies and used by Clinicians and Patients worldwide. As a Software Engineer I in the CRM Software Organization, you will be developing software applications which interface with Medtronic implantable cardiac devices and remote management of patients. We are looking for highly motivated and self-starting strong software engineers looking forward to innovating in a fun and fast paced environment with a passion to improve peoples’ quality of life. The individual will operate in all phases and contribute to all activities of the software development process.
As a Software Engineer I in the CRM Software organization, you will work in all phases of the software development process.

This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life:
In general, the following responsibilities apply for the Software Engineer I role. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Design and develop high integrity software for medical devices.
- Design and execute tests for the verification of software requirements.
- Develop or enhance the automated test framework and tools.
- Learn and understand software standards for Medical devices.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team. This includes recognizing areas for improvement as well as working with others to develop and document process improvements.
- Work under general direction and collaboratively with internal and external partners located across various geographies.

Qualifications
Must Have – Minimum Requirements:
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, THESE NEED TO BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Nice to Have:
- Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices
- Proficiency in two or more of the following technologies: C#, .NET, Objective C, Python, Xamarin, XML
- Proficiency in the following tools: Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, GIT, Microsoft Test Hub
- Experience in the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, Android or iPadOS
- Experience in software design for medical devices
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to software release processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and seamless software releases.
- Engage in test readiness activities and contribute to distribution release authorization documents.
- Work closely with IT for successful software deployment and provide post-release support.
- Ensure thorough testing of software before release.
- Experience renewing, applying, and managing DigiCert certificates.
- Oversee lab management and equipment procurement for Device Managers and LMM teams.
- Maintain calibration schedules and manage equipment check-out processes.
- Coordinate logistics for device procurement and shipping across multiple locations.
- Participate actively in the EHS committee, contributing to lab safety and inspections. <
