Reporting to the Manager, IT, Nitrogen & Phosphate, the IT Analyst at the Borger Nitrogen Plant, will be part of the Site IT team and the larger Nitrogen and Phosphate North America IT teams. As a very talented IT generalist, you will be responsible for supporting a large breadth of technologies for the end users and gain new knowledge and growth through innovational technologies that help Nutrien grow.
What you will do:
- Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of computer systems including but not limited to, desktops, laptops, smartphones, printers, digital display devices, and video conferencing equipment and the specialized applications that run on those systems
- Provide end user support via telephone, remote desktop, or onsite. Provides support for Office 365 and other applications in use at the site. Proactive approach to track, maintain, and manage tasks to continuously improve our existing systems and time-to-resolution for support tickets
- Support workstations and peripherals including scanners, printers, lab equipment and other specialized hardware
- Manage imaging and deployment process for Windows devices. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the deployment process. Assist with patch management for servers and network infrastructure
- Monitor network activity, troubleshoot servers, routers, switches, and telecommunications software and hardware at the site. Monitor and analyze network and system logs related to security and performance issues
- Provide support for backups, business resiliency, disaster recovery, business continuity, and business resiliency. Identify, investigate, and provide timely resolutions to Data Center and Network issues
- Provide support for Plant Control Networks. Works closely with OT in executing cyber security initiatives within control networks
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption
- Execute Capital projects and initiatives at site
- Application support for Corporate and locally hosted applications
What you will bring:
- Post-Secondary Degree, Associates Degree, or diploma from a recognized university or technical school in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field of study with a minimum of 2 years of related IT experience
- System administration and IT certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Veeam, or other related vendors are a plus. MCSA Certifications or a minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on industry experience is preferred
- Experience with Process Control Systems, networking, and the Purdue Model is preferred
- PC Troubleshooting and Support (Windows 11) experience
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Microsoft applications troubleshooting and support experience, including Office 365 product family, Teams, SharePoint
- Ability to troubleshoot network related issues (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Familiarity with desktop imaging process like Microsoft SCCM
- Familiarity with IT service management tools like ServiceNow
- Experience using Active Directory for computer management, and using multiple information technology tools, techniques, standards, principles, protocols, languages, applications, systems, or procedures
- Experience in an enterprise print management operation with emphasis on printer setup and troubleshooting
- Experience with audio visual systems and support, including video and digital signage
