POSITION SUMMARY

The Pump electrician is responsible for wiring the pump apparatus.  This position will be responsible for creating and installing custom wire harnesses. They will also be expected to be required to calibrate and test gages and valves.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. 

1. Installs electrical wires and equipment on the pump of the fire apparatus.
2. Reads and interprets schematics, change orders, and drawings to work off.
3. Installs lights all lights within the pumphouse.
4. Utilizes tools in order to pin and crimp wires to connectors in order to connect the electrical components of the pump.
5. Creates and install custom wire harnesses for pump equipment.
6. Calibrates valves and gages as needed to create a quality installation. 
7. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the company and our members.

Tools to be utilized:

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

• High school diploma/GED.
• Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
• Low voltage electrical experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
• Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

• Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
