ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven department, currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a leading provider of Digital Transformation services for Federal agencies, we specialize in using cutting-edge low-code platforms, mobile applications, robotics process automation, and data analytics platforms to enable agency mission and business transformation. As our Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple scrum teams and specific tasks for both client engagements and company-wide projects. The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned leader with a practical, "get it done" work style, and a deep understanding of Agile IT application delivery. You should possess exceptional communication, analytical, and time management skills, and demonstrate a desire to continually learn and grow your skills in Cloud technologies. A problem-solving mindset, flexibility, and enthusiasm will be key to your success in this role. 

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a multi-faceted, high-functioning team of DBAs and Cloud-Migration SMEs. 

 

The ideal candidate will have solid contract management experience, a history of on-time deliverables, attention to detail, and superb customer relations and communication abilities. 

 

 Day-to-day oversight will require drawing on hands-on experience with database administration (SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL); infrastructure management; system and network administration; configuration management; and working knowledge of AWS, AWS/CLI, CI/CD Pipeline, Splunk, PL/SQL, RMAN and VMWare.  

 

Ability to guide the team to migrate many diverse divisions’ databases to the cloud with strategic thought-leadership as to operational efficiencies that can be had post-migration.  Working knowledge / experience with tools such as Snowflake, Databrix, or Unqork highly desired. 

 

Team leadership and mentoring capabilities are crucial for this position as well as effective delegation to maintain organizational management.  Oversight of and creation of weekly and monthly status reports, monthly metrics reports as well as development and adherence to many concurrent maintenance and migration project roadmaps and timeline deliverables.

Responsibilities: 
Project Delivery Responsibilities 

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control projects in accordance with established standards 

  • Engage with client leadership to ensure proper expectation settings 

  • Manage project teams’ daily activities, projects, and tasks to focus on adhering to best practices, high standards, and on-time delivery to the customer. 

  • Work with the team to develop project plans, roadmaps and manage the backlog. Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, and identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders to help resolve. 

  • Monitor resource commitment and adjust sprint plans as needed to ensure balanced workloads for resources 

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies for the scrum team ensuring objectives are met 

  • Collaborate with Client Product Owner/PM to prioritize the team’s sprint backlog 

  • Identify, track, mitigate and communicate risks/issues throughout the project 

  • Communicate with a variety of stakeholders and sponsors using multiple channels 

  • Create weekly status reports, including burndown and velocity charts 

  • Create monthly billing artifacts and communicate all billing milestones to the accounting department and program manager. 

  • Develop budget estimates, monitor the actual costs vs. planned, deliver the expected project objectives within the approved budget. 

  • Produce financial reports, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed. 

  • Maintain current certifications and acquire new certifications as needed
