<p><strong>Luminis Health</strong></p><p><strong>Title: ED Unit Resource Coordinator (URC)</strong></p><p><strong>Department: Emergency Department</strong></p><p><strong>Reports to: Clinical Director – Nursing</strong></p><p><strong>Job Code/Cost Center: 20200-10016-002057</strong></p><p><strong>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</strong></p><p><strong>Position Objective:</strong></p><p>The Unit Resource Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of patient medical records, communication internally and externally, acquisition of stock and patient supplies, completion of log books and coordination of ongoing activities at the Nurses’ station. Represents Luminis Health RISE Values in every interaction with patients, families, co-workers, and colleagues.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><p>Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges</p><ol type="1"><li>Collaborates with hospital personnel to ensure optimal patient care and promote a positive working environment in Unit and Hospital.</li><li>Manage unit call volumes</li><li>Coordinates communication on patient care unit</li><li>Maintains patient medical records to ensure they are current and accurate</li><li>Maintains patient and unit supplies economically and efficiently, including PPE</li><li>Coordinates communication at the Nurses’ Station and patient care unit</li><li>Participates in programs designed to increase the quality of patient care.</li><li>Maintains nurse call and monitoring system</li><li>Conducts Environmental care rounds</li><li>Maintain work orders</li><li>Welcome and escort unit visitors</li><li>Facilitates discharge coordination which includes transportation arrangements and discharge packets</li><li>Coordinates unit ASCOM messages</li><li>Assists all healthcare partners such as PT, OT, Speech, Providers, and case managers</li></ol><ol><li>Manage bed board and patient disposition</li><li>Distribute staff communication</li><li>Assist unit leadership with unit projects as assigned</li></ol><p> </p><p><strong>Educational/Experience Requirements:</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>One-year previous Unit Clerk experience or in a clerical position in a similar health care setting preferred.</li><li>Working knowledge of basic medical terminology</li></ul><
