PRN, Registered Nurse (RN) - Freestanding ER

Inova Springfield Healthplex is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team 

Schedule: PRN, shift varies

2 years minimum ED experience required

*Must be available to complete fulltime 4week orientation*

This Free-Standing Emergency Unit services the local community:

• 80-105 patients a day, with approximately 20% pediatric patients
• Average LOS 96 mins
• 4-5:1 patient to nurse ratio
• Ventilator trained nursing and EMT staff
• Supportive team environment

• Stroke certified parent hospital
• Nurse autonomy

Job Summary:

• Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. 
• Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. 
• Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes 
• Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.

Requirements:

• 2 years minimum ED experience required 
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
• Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. 
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required 
• CEN/ACLS certification desired 
• Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others 
• Proficient computer skills required.
