The Corporate Communications Manager II will support internal and external communications initiatives across Cleveland Clinic Nevada. This includes editorial and digital content creation, internal caregiver communications, support for media relations and public relations efforts, event communications, and coordination with agency partners. This role is essential for managing a high volume of communications tied to healthcare services and signature fundraising events including the Power of Love Gala, Month of Memories, and WAM Forum.
This position directly supports Cleveland Clinic Nevada’s communications manager and is instrumental in meeting the rising demand for content development, cross-channel messaging, and stakeholder reporting in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
A caregiver in this role a hybrid schedule from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Must have flexibility for appointments, events and comp time for work outside normal hours.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Create and publish editorial content across print, digital, and social platforms
- Draft internal caregiver communications (e.g., InnerPulse newsletter)
- Write and edit press materials, website content, speeches, brochures, and event copy
- Support execution of communications plans for clinical services and fundraising events
- Collaborate with graphic designers, clinical teams, and vendors to produce content
- Manage content calendars and assist in planning communication timelines
- Track media coverage, event ROI, and compile metrics for quarterly board meetings
- Maintain relationships and coordinate with PR agencies and community partners
- Provide support during emergency incidents via Cleveland Clinic Nevada’s command center
- Assist with legislative and government reporting tasks tied to public funding and outreach
- Builds and fosters relationships with internal departments and national, international and local broadcast/print media.
- Oversee and coordinates all national broadcast and print outreach or internal communications.
- Develops messaging and trains/coaches key clinical and institutional spokespeople for external events and media interviews.
- Manages corporate communications staff and develops annual key performance indicators for team members
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Seven years of media relations, public relations, or communications experience with minimum of two years pitching or influencing national media outlets or an additional six years of progressively responsible experience may offset degree requirement
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s Degree
- Healthcare or nonprofit communications background
- Familiarity with managing communications across multiple channels and stakeholders
- Media Relations Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- In some locations, ability to move up to 15 lbs.<
