Job Description

   

The Role 

Since its inception in 1992, SUSE has been at the forefront of technical innovation where change has been the only constant. 

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver expert technical consultancy services to our clients, ensuring the successful deployment, integration, and optimization of SUSE enterprise container management solutions. 

This will support business growth in line with our ambitious objectives and company culture. 

Critical to achieving excellent results will be  a deep understanding of Cloud Native container platform plan, design, build and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role sits within the Professional Services function.
 

Focus Areas  

• Technical Consultancy: Provide expert technical guidance to customers, including professional planning services for their cloud-native container platforms, help them develop blueprints and roadmaps for their cloud-native journey.

• Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to design tailored solutions that meet their specific needs and objectives, leveraging best practices in container management and cloud-native technologies.

• Deployment & Integration: Lead the deployment and integration of SUSE Rancher  solutions, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption to client operations.

• Customer knowledge transformation: Develop and deliver training sessions to educate clients on best practices for using SUSE solutions.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for deployed solutions, including design documents such as architecture diagrams, and deploy documents such as configuration guides.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other SUSE teams, including sales, product development, and support, to ensure a cohesive approach to client service and solution delivery.

Preferred Experience & Skills 

• More than 8 years of IT industry experience with good knowledge on customer IT infrastructure architecture and common technologies.

• 3 year’s experience on on cloud native container platform design, deploy, or administration.

• In-depth knowledge on enterprise container management solutions and Cloud Native platforms. Project delivery experience of enterprise container platform design is preferred.

• Proficiency in container orchestration tools like SUSE Rancher,  Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.  Project delivery experience of enterprise container platform deploy is required.

• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.

• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform as well as Ali-Cloud, Huawei Cloud and Tencent Cloud.

• Solid understanding of Cloud Native technologies and ecosystems. 

• Good writing skill is required for plan, design, deployment documentation writing.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships with internal teams, external partners and customers
