About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Analytics Consultant in Financial Crimes Operations supporting reporting and analytics solutions.  Primary responsibilities for this role include business intelligence report and dashboard development using data from Wholesale Data Mart and Enterprise Information Warehouse. Additional activities will include data analysis, data discovery, consulting on automation solutions supporting Financial Crimes Operations teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop or influence analytical strategies for highly complex business and technical needs

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring analytical application of industry techniques and advanced data from multiple sources across the enterprise

  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of highly complex activities

  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Power BI (cloud preferred) or Tableau experience developing Reports and dashboards

  • 3+ Teradata SQL

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Experience in translating and summarizing complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations to senior leaders, key stakeholders and business partners 

  • Experience mentoring and serving as a peer-coach to other analysts with the ability to transfer skills and knowledge to peers

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong presentation skills – written and verbal, and the ability to adapt to multiple audiences.

  • Strong critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus and a passion for the customer and employee experience.

  • Ability to take apart existing processes to find the issue and re-engineer them.

  • Proven success building and maintaining strong credible relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of Alteryx/Python/Programming language skills

  • 3+ working knowledge of BSA/AML programs or other related risk/compliance and regulatory disciplines

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner

  • Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
