Envision yourself at Barracuda The Head of Program Delivery is responsible for planning and execution of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. The role oversees project planning, execution, and delivery, focusing on business systems, enterprise architecture, information security, Data & BI, cloud computing, and infrastructure improvements. The role involves managing project budgets, resources, and risks while implementing best practices, efficient business processes and tools to enhance efficiency. The role provides oversight and mentorship to project managers, scrum masters and drives high-level negotiations with executives and business stakeholders to align strategies with organizational objectives. What you’ll be working on
- Develops and executes strategic plans for IT program delivery and project management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving successful delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives
- Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects, including those related to business systems, enterprise architecture, cloud computing, information security, Data & BI, and infrastructure improvements
- Institutes and upholds intake and prioritization governance models with various stakeholder groups
- Monitors and reports on project progress, including budget, schedule, and resource allocation, and address any issues or risks that may impact project success.
- Implements and maintains project management tools and systems to streamline processes, improve visibility, and enhance overall project efficiency
- Establishes and manages comprehensive risk management frameworks, identifying potential risks early and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Establishes and enforces project management standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient project delivery
- Leads and manages a team of IT project managers and scrum masters, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high performance and effective project execution
- Provides Program Management standards across the delivery organizations in the Barracuda enterprise
- Leads high-level negotiations with internal and external executive management on critical matters, ensuring that strategies align with organizational goals
- Fosters partnerships with business stakeholders to maintain a balance between wants, needs and what is realistically possible
- Leverages broad industry expertise in project management to drive strategic initiatives
- Innovates to address complex business challenges, requiring an extensive understanding of market dynamics and organizational goals
- Builds a high-performing team using strong leadership acumen
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or equivalent
- 20+ years of experience with bachelor's or 18+ years of experience with master's in areas such as enterprise architecture, cloud computing or equivalent, with 12-15 years of management experience
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification
- Advanced certifications in Agile methodologies such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Agile Project Manager (PMI-ACP)
- The candidate should have strong project management skills to lead and oversee projects effectively.
- Proven ability and experienced with Business System implementations.
