Position Summary:

The Vecima Video and Broadband Solutions team is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the VBS portfolio of current and growing Broadband Access nodes. 

Position requirements:

Project Leadership & Delivery

• 6+ years of experience managing complex software and/or hardware projects through structured Product Development Lifecycles and phase-gate methodologies
• Successfully led projects across global R&D organizations, coordinating resources across time zones and business units
• Accountable for end-to-end project delivery, including scope definition, scheduling, risk mitigation, and execution tracking
• Expertise in developing and managing detailed, interdependent project schedules to support milestone-driven delivery
• Proven ability to manage large project budgets and forecast resource needs based on evolving requirements

Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

• Aligns project objectives with organizational strategy and stakeholder expectations
• Establishes and maintains integrated project plans, ensuring dependencies and resource constraints are proactively addressed
• Leads cross-functional planning sessions and phase-gate reviews to ensure visibility and commitment
• Monitors project health through KPIs, milestones, earned value, and performance metrics
• Manages scope changes and implements formal change control processes to protect timeline and budget integrity

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Procurement, Product Line Management, and Quality
• Manages third-party software/hardware suppliers to ensure technical delivery, compliance, and integration
• Facilitates complex discussions and trade-offs, ensuring clear documentation and follow-through on decisions and action items
• Builds trust with internal and external stakeholders through consistent, transparent communication and reporting

Risk & Issue Management

• Identifies potential risks and roadblocks early and drives mitigation strategies with key stakeholders
• Leads root cause analysis for critical issues and implements corrective actions with a cross-functional lens
• Maintains a risk register and integrates risk awareness into regular project governance processes

Technical & Methodological Expertise

• Strong background in Agile/Scrum development practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional team ceremonies
• Experienced in working within Development Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory environments
• Familiarity with Access Communication Networks and telecom technology (highly desired)

Tools & Platforms

• Proficient with project management and collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Salesforce, SharePoint

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (desired)
• PMP certification or formal project management training (desired)
