Sr. Digital Product Designer

Casper is currently seeking an experienced data driven digital product designer to join our digital product team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the digital product team on a variety of high visibility data-driven commerce initiatives that are key to the success of Casper’s digital flagship commerce experience. In addition, you’ll be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary creative team to evolve our design system by migrating, maintaining and inventing new UI components and interactive patterns for ecommerce. This role will play an important part in the product design team’s operational efficiency and scalability.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do

• Design and launch features used by millions of people on casper.com
• Contribute to and help evolve Casper’s Design System
• Conduct audits of competitors’ user experiences to discover insights, opportunities.
• Work closely with the rest of the Digital Product team to define a project’s vision and measures for success
• Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, all hands and squad meetings
• Use best practice ux research and data to inform design solutions
• Test new ideas on usertesting.com and process feedback
• Present new work to internal stakeholders to get alignment before features move to development
• Maintain strong partnerships & collaboration with development team from handoff to go live.
• Provide fit and finish feedback to the development team to ensure the experience meets our high standards.
• Work closely with the marketing team to bring new campaigns to life on Casper.com with parallax, video and web animation using Lottie

Our dream candidate has...

• A minimum of 6 years experience in web design in a dedicated UX, IA, or IxD role
• Experience working on ecomerce sites, specifically DTC and our unique challenges with customer acquisition and conversion.
• Experience in building web animations using Lottie or similar framework
• Experience executing interactive marketing campaigns online
• An understanding of e-commerce best practices focused on optimizing conversion and AOV
• A baseline understanding of html, css and JavaScript. Not a coding role but clear communication with the development team is critical
• Ability to contribute to design strategy and design direction
• Uses research and data to inform design solutions
• Ability to sketch, prototype, and create high fidelity artifacts for the team
• Ability to express feedback with kindness and candor
• Tolerance for ambiguity and healthy curiosity
• Ability to translate quantitative & qualitative insights into design decisions
• Contribute to our creative culture: motivation, optimism, quality, integrity

Targeted Annual Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000.00 USD

Casper’s compensation philosophy ensures that the actual base salary is based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, experience, special training, time in position, and/or years of service.
