Sentara Home Care is hiring an IV Pharmacy Tech to join their team in Chesapeake, VA!

Status: Flexi (15/hrs weekly)

Shift: Rotating (8.5hr shift)

Hours: Days, 7a-7p

No set Weekends or Holidays!

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
• CPhT license through PTCB or NHA

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• IV room and Sterile Compounding experience preferred

Job responsibilities:

• Prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacist
• Measure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
• Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy
• Responsible for maintaining compliance under regulation guidelines
• Performs tasks that require higher level of competency, such as performing pharmaceutical calculations and operating automated compounding devices

VA OR NC (depending upon state location) Pharmacy Technician Registration Number. PTCB or NHA preferred.

Pharmacy Technician - State license - North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP), Pharmacy Technician - State License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
