Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to be based in our Honolulu, Hawaii office. The Entry-Level Environmental Engineer will support our Remediation team, primarily working on Federal projects.

This position is expected to begin in January 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
  • Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories.
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. 
  • As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related discipline.
  • US Citizenship for access to DoD project sites.
  • Experience with military emergency response and environmental projects.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
  • Experience using ArcGIS and generating maps and report figures.
  • Excellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills), organization, and time management.

Additional Information

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.
  • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Hawaii locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $48,915.12 - $67,258.28.
