Job Title:  Production Leader: Manufacturing Services

Working Pattern: Onsite 9/80

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

Lead, inspire and coach a team within a defined manufacturing maintenance environment. Accountable for ensuring that customer commitments are met in full, measured against agreed HSE, quality, cost, delivery, people and responsiveness to asset availability standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervisor over multi-trade skilled workforce accountable for manufacturing and test facility preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure that all Manufacturing Services personnel and other reports are appropriately, resourced, trained and developed using company standard processes.
  • Work closely with the Manufacturing facility, Test Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure that facilities and test cells are fit for purpose and are managed via an asset care program
  • Effectively interface with Group Property and their service providers partners to ensure all services are enacted to the business requirement.
  • Ensures that agreed performance targets for all manufacturing services accountability are monitored using standard tools and appropriate actions are take where targets are not achieved.
  • Ensure that Manufacturing Services area comply to the latest HS&E standards and business requirements including fulfilling specific roles such as Responsible Person (RP) for specific activities
  • Ensure that both planned and corrective maintenance actions are carried out in accordance with company procedures through the deployment of internal or third-party resource, maximizing asset availability
  • HSE - Drive towards a performance and culture of Zero Harm. Ensuring our teams are trained and compliant to safety standards, driving environmental targets and promoting wellbeing.
  • PRODUCT SAFETY - Accountable for ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standard to ensure conformance to the engineering specification, and for promoting a product safety culture in the organization.
  • QUALITY - Drive to Zero Defects. Work with all functions to reduce risks and drive product and service right first time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company legislative and technical policies and standards.
  • COST - Develop and manage agreed people budget (headcount, productivity, absenteeism). Understand and manage the cell cost center budget and work with the team to drive productivity and reduce consumable cost.
  • DELIVERY - Deliver our products and services to customer commitments on time. Plan using load and capacity tools and manage bottlenecks and constraints to achieve flow through the cell. Understand WIP and inventory levels and drive to meet business targets.
  • PEOPLE - Optimize the capability and capacity of the cell by developing a flexible team. Develop and motivate team members ensuring they are trained, capable and effective.
  • LEAN - Ensure that all relevant Production System minimum standards are fully deployed and sustained within the business in support of performance objectives and coaching the team to fully participate in continuous improvement.
