DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Partner with senior members of Financial Sponsors Group, sector coverage, and product bankers to prospect, pitch, and execute transactions on behalf of private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Lead client meetings and drafting sessions. Analyze business plans and participate in due diligence sessions. Examine the strategic and financial merits of proposed transactions for marketing purposes. Play an active role in the execution of mandated deals through client advisory work, the structuring, and negotiation of legal documents and the coordination of distribution. Develop relationship with clients to augment overall relationship and to build tactical dialogue around specific targeted opportunities. Prepare presentations to sponsor clients to support business development. Coordinate with product partners across the firm to maximize coordination in Sponsor coverage effort. Perform portfolio reviews of sponsor clients to assess new opportunities across various products and summarize key findings in presentations. Manage internal processes related to coverage efforts and information/KPI tracking. Work closely with internal support departments to ensure seamless deal closing and funding. Develop associates and analysts. This position requires up to 20% domestic travel to client sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as an Investment Banking, Corporate Finance Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as an Investment Banking, Corporate Finance Manager, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: credit analysis; financial statement analysis; credit agreements and other legal documents; debt and equity capital markets; M&A valuation and strategies; complex LBO valuation modeling; scenario analysis and risk modeling; business and financial diligence; legal documents including term sheets, credit agreements, and purchase agreements; working with different debt classes including senior secured, unsecured, mezzanine, and subordinated debt and debt instruments including syndicated term loans, pro-rata bank debt, direct lending, and convertible issuances; building bottoms-up dynamic leveraged buyout (LBO) models accounting for different performance scenarios and lending alternatives; analysis for covenant and payout testing; and similar companies analysis to compare peers in a subsector or with similar performance or characteristics.
Job Location: 383 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 20% domestic travel to client sites. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $250,000 - $325,000 per year.
