VP of Engineering (IoT Technologies)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, an IoT Solutions provider, investing in cutting edge technology, is seeking for a VP of Engineering (IoT Technologies)

Workplace Location: Paiania - Northern Suburbs / Hybrid work model

What you will be doing:

You will be reporting to the company’s CEO and you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet design requirements and deliver consistent experience for users. You’ll be managing an entire team of engineers and developers, collaborating with the product managers, as well as guiding the company’s product vision and maintaining compliance with quality standards. co-ordinate the SW and HW Engineering teams regarding all technical aspects of the company’s IoT solutions through-out the design-to-product cycle

More specifically you will:

• Participate in the development and implementation of the company's technical vision
• Lead both the Software Engineering and the Electronics Engineering Teams
• Design, implement, and monitor all operations and operational efficiency for all the engineering team
• Develop standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
• Uphold deadlines and ensure specified goals are met
• Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution
• Be responsible to actively and clearly communicate with all stakeholders
• Recommend new technology and ideas to improve performance and efficiency

Requirements

• A BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical, Electronics Engineering (or relevant degree)
• 6+ years of experience in engineering with 3+ years of experience leading an engineering team
• Experience working with both software development and with hardware engineering
• Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to explain approach to all levels in the organization including key stakeholders
• Able to think strategically and see the bigger picture
• Ability to analyze complex situations and give balanced well-considered decisions
• Extensive engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, budgeting, and software products
• Proven success working closely with Product Management, contributing to the product strategy and helping to successfully deliver on the product roadmap

Experience in Microsoft tech stack (Azure cloud, .Net etc ) will be highly desirable
