About the Role
An established vocalist and guitarist is seeking a professional songwriter for an ongoing collaboration to develop original music in the contemporary folk/country genre. The project aims to create authentic, storytelling-driven songs inspired by artists like Tyler Childers and Colter Wall for portfolio development and potential commercial release.

Responsibilities

• Create original lyrics and musical compositions in the specified genre
• Develop memorable melodies that complement the artist's vocal range
• Craft authentic storytelling narratives in the songwriting
• Collaborate closely with the artist to understand their vision and style
• Provide rough demos of compositions for review

Requirements

• Proven experience in country/folk/Americana songwriting
• Deep understanding of contemporary folk and traditional country music
• Strong portfolio of previously written songs
• Familiarity with the musical style of Tyler Childers and Colter Wall
• Excellence in narrative songwriting and storytelling
