Dietary Aide - Berkshire Medical Center, Dietary Services, Shift: Variable, 8 hrs

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the food service Manager/Supervisor the Food Service Aide will perform a variety of food service and dish room duties, as well other related tasks.

1. Works patient tray line position according to procedure
2. Greets patients, staff, and visitors in a respectful, timely and helpful manner.
3. Prepares food according to the recipe requirements for all recipes produced 100% of the time.
4. Demonstrates the ability to operate food production equipment safely and efficiently.
5. Produces the correct supply of food to supply the cafeteria with enough food to run until the meal period is over.
6. Sets up and operates the dish machine according to procedure.

  Experience

• Previous experience in food handling preferred.

Education

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

License & Certifications

• SERVESAFE - Servesafe Certification within one year of employment preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work with a wide variety of people.

• Must have very good interpersonal skills.

• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instruction.

• Must have the ability to quickly move from one duty to another as needs of the department change.

Schedule

• 3:30pm-7:30pm
• Various shifts
• Weekends and holidays
