What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney Columbus is at the core of military and commercial engine applications production with the manufacture of forgings for disks. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Ultrasonic Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspectors. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance within inspection operations and meeting customer expectations through on-time delivery while working to drive efficiency into the quality inspection processes.

  • Ensure the safety of employees by driving a "safety-first" culture

  • Enable the inspection team by providing training and development; leading a team that is empowered to make decisions that meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives

  • Identify opportunities for documentation of quality requirements to establish and implement improvements

  • Investigate new and improved methods of inspection that can be used to improve efficiency and reduce cost

  • Promote transparency in quality operations performance and plans to address gaps in meeting daily business objectives

  • Collaborate with the quality engineering and manufacturing engineering teams in addressing quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities; lead the working team to develop continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and meet customer objectives

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related field or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in n engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related field

  • In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related field

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity

  • Experience with SAP and Solumina

  • Demonstrated experience with Continuous improvement/Lean concepts

  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection

  • Prior experience in Engineering/Production, Quality Engineering, CMM Quality, CNC Machining, or Quality Inspection
