About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician II (“Technician”) is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s Maintenance (“Division”) Division. The Technician performs trade maintenance work on buildings, surrounding grounds, and equipment. The Technician will operate light/medium equipment used in maintenance and performs repairs and adjustments to company facilities. Work can include carpentry, electrical, plumbing and other construction projects as needed. Additionally, the Technician will have other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Facilities Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Operates light and/or medium equipment used in maintenance, such as; power saws, drills, table saws, edgers, tractors, etc.
- Performs maintenance on electrical and plumbing fixtures, such as; replacing light bulbs, ballasts, changing light fixtures, outlets and switches, repairing and replacing sinks, showers, etc.
- Paints center facilities, including office areas, building exteriors, which entails preparation and clean up.
- Performs grounds maintenance such as mowing lawns, edge trimming and weeding, watering, and applying chemicals, operates truck, tractor or hand shovel to remove snow from sidewalks and parking lots, applies ice-melt to sidewalks when required.
- Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, repairs plaster and drywall.
- Makes minor and major repairs requiring ground maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, and skills at a skilled and semi-skilled level.
- Moves office and residential furniture, fixtures, and equipment within and between sites to support staffing changes, relocations, remodels, and program expansion as directed.
- Conducts agency business and engages both internal and external customers in a professional, collaborative manner that reinforces person centered practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar maintenance role is required.
- Experience in building maintenance including knowledge of mechanical repair practices, knowledge of safety precautions in performing duties, skills in use of a variety of small power tools.
- Current and valid Colorado driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting is required,
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Schedule:
7am to 3:30 M-F when on call it's 8:30-5 pm. assigned to certain buildings.
