ConnectWise Summer Internship Program:

Are you in search of an internship to acquire corporate experience spanning various cross-functional teams and departments? Look no further! ConnectWise is currently hosting its summer internship program, scheduled from May to August. Interns can contribute a maximum of 30 hours per week. We encourage a hybrid work model (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) at either our Tampa, FL, or Pittsburgh, PA office. Our internship initiative is designed to provide outstanding talent development and training opportunities. Our ultimate aim is to transition interns into full-time employees upon graduation.

Qualifications:

  • Internships are available for students pursuing post-high school level degrees (college, university, technical college).
  • Sophomores, juniors, or seniors are welcome to apply.
  • Pursuing a major in business, IT, or a related field.

General Summary:

ConnectWise is a fast paced, growing company in the Software industry. Our company supports various service orientated industries around the world. The ConnectWise Information Technology Intern role is meant to aid with tier-1 hardware and software issues, hardware configuration and setup, account management, and inventory administration. During this time the intern will glean unique industry knowledge that pertains to their course of study.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recover and backup workstation data utilizing various methods and tools.
  • Assist with deployment and management of digital signage throughout the office.
  • Configure and setup new workstations and related peripheral devices.
  • Retrieve unused workstations and related peripheral devices.
  • User account and identity access management within Active Directory, Exchange, and other systems.
  • Facilitate the replacement of out of warranty workstations and related peripheral devices.
  • Inventory administration utilizing inventory management system.
  • Assist with companywide audit of all information technology hardware.
  • Maintain and track loaner hardware.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of operation concepts involving computer hardware, operating systems, and software.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to troubleshoot tier-1 hardware issues on computer systems.
  • Experience with setup, configuration, provisioning and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 computers in a networked environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively communicate by phone, video call, email, instant message, and in person.
  • Ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and customers.
  • Shows initiative and acts independently to resolve problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • The preferred candidate will be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's in Information Technology or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience and demonstration of success working in the IT field or in a customer service role.
