Job Title: ALCC Program Coordinator
Reports to: ALCC Program Manager
Status: Full-Time Exempt, Temporary
Salary: $51,000 Annually
Location: Mobile, AL
Position Summary:
The Student Conservation Association provides an array of corps and crew programming across the country. The Alabama Conservation Corps (ALCC) provides hands-on training in conservation work skills and leadership to program participants in partnership with state, municipal, and nonprofit partners. The ALCC oversees crews in Mobile as part of the GulfCorps program as well as prescribed burn interns serving in various locations within the state under the Nature Conservancy. The program operates as an AmeriCorps program, allowing crew members to dedicate a term of service while gaining experience in the field
The Program Coordinator position is a 9-month position (8/3/26-4/23/26) that ensures the technical, logistical, and administrative tasks associated with executing SCA’s various programs in the ALCC portfolio are completed. This person ensures Corps Members and Project Leaders are equipped for program delivery and comply with curriculum and AmeriCorps mandates, safety controls, logistical service/program delivery needs, and mandatory internal record-keeping. This position reports to the Program Manager-AL and has multiple direct reports at various levels of responsibility and locations throughout Alabama.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Delivery
- Facilitate scheduling and manage rotating projects in collaboration with service partners.
- Actively assess project and environmental risks to ensure a safe work environment.
- Serve as a technical adviser and project support in collaboration with the Program Manager.
- Monitor and assess the quality & technique of the project work performed to ensure partner and SCA standards are met.
- Manage project service logs and Field Maps entries assuring data integrity.
- Review and approve direct reports’ timesheets within timelines set by SCA.
- Review time logs and member timesheets on ADP and AmericaLearns to ensure accurate hour allocations.
Supervision/Mentorship
- Directly supervise Project Leaders and provide support in their supervision of Corps Members.
