Position Description:
 

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting in the necessary functions of the Accounting Department including the review, reconciliation and maintenance of records and financial transactions in journals, ledgers, schedules, accounts and other related files. Responsibilities for this role include compilation of financial statements and statistical information for internal and external sources and monitoring investment transactions.

Responsibilities:
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and external agencies while maintaining confidentiality.
• Analyze general ledger activity and assist with audit preparation and variance reporting.
• Identify process improvements and assist with special projects and tax filings.
• Reconcile daily cash activity and evaluate capital expenditure requests as needed.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:
1. Degree from a recognized college or university with either major in accounting or related field.
2. 3-5 years' experience in the health care financial industry is preferable.
3. MBA and/or CPA is highly desirable.
4. Advanced computer literacy is preferred.
5. Experience with Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases is preferred.
