About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Operations Specialist to join our team and support the autonomy roadmap of Opella. This newly created position will report directly to the Digital Finance Performance Lead and play a crucial role in ensuring data accuracy and consistency across our finance processes. As a Finance Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for the key decisions and management of incoming Digital purchase orders and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end closing activities in collaboration with BA&C and Finance Performance Leads (FPL).
- Validate final accruals amounts, check accruals requests vs. Purchase Orders (PO) status, and ensure proper justification in case of questions.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and SOX control requirements, handling auditor questions.
- Manage monthly financial reclassification needs.
- Review and approve POs, acting as the front line to business teams, ensuring activities are budgeted properly and challenging where necessary.
- Approve POs related to a given perimeter.
- Maintain proper documentation on processes and master data (Cost Center, Project Code, etc.).
- Act as the key contact for multiple ERP systems and numerous countries.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrate prior of experience working in accounting or controlling.
- Have good experience in operational management of budgets and managing PO requests and be able to justify POs requirements.
- Be a confident communication to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and be able to embrace a challenger mindset.
- Be able to confidently demonstrate good interpersonal skills, agility, reliability, ability to work transversally and in a multi-country team setup.
- Be proficient in SAP, TM1, and Excel.
- Demonstrate the characteristics to be someone who is willing to learn and be able to work independently.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
