As a Corporate System Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will be a critical member of our team, serving as a trusted technical advisor to potential clients, overseeing crucial phases of the sales process, and showcasing our product portfolio to customers and partners. This entry-level position is an opportunity for early career professionals and individuals looking to pivot into a system engineering role to excel while contributing to our mission of cybersecurity excellence.

Your Impact

As a Corporate System Engineer, your responsibilities include:

• Technical Engagement - Build trust as a technical advisor for potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating how our solutions meet those needs
• Sales Support - Oversee critical phases of the sales process, including needs assessment, demonstrations, proof of concept, and product definition
• Product Showcase - Present our product portfolio and its features during customer meetings and events
• Consultative Relationships - Forge robust consultative bonds with individuals in customer and partner organizations to ensure their contentment
• Sales Team Support - Deliver advanced training and support to sales teams across various business regions
• Industry Awareness - Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape to effectively present and promote optimal client solutions

Qualifications

Your Experience

• Alumnus of Palo Alto Networks System Engineering Academy

OR

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent IT work experience or equivalent military experience required
• Strong sales aptitude with the ability to engage with customers effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• An adaptable and collaborative team player
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and concepts, as well as principles of defense in depth and the various layers of security (network, application, endpoint, etc.)
• Knowledge of common cyber threats, and basic security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), antivirus software, encryption, and authentication methods is important
• Foundational Knowledge of Data Networking, including the OSI model, IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6), subnetting and common networking protocols and services
• Basic knowledge of network design principles, including LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) configurations, is important - This includes understanding network topologies and network architecture
