RN, Inpatient Critical Care Transport

The ICU Transport RN acts to support adult inpatient transport care needs within the Medical Center Acute and Critical Care Units. The team collaborates with the radiological areas, Charge RN of each unit to determine transport needs, priorities of potential transports. Hand-Off Communication occurs between CCT RN and bedside RN prior to departure and upon return from transport. ICU Critical Care Transport Team provides the same level of acute and critical care nursing care for all adult patients throughout all transports. Provides nursing care, performs advanced practice skills as needed, and collaborates with the medical team and other multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care to patients being transported within the medical center.

What You’ll Need
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- PALS preferred
- Two years recent critical care nursing
- Two years emergency department/ICU experience for adult transport
